The Speak Mandarin Campaign

It's been an uphill task trying to impart Mandarin to Kayla since I'm the only one who speaks and understands it at home. As much as possible, I've been trying to grow Kayla's Chinese vocabulary, one word at a time. It's still pretty dismal at this point, but it's getting better. She can count 1 to 10 in Mandarin and I'm proud to say her vocabulary has surpassed Mikey's. And for some strange reason, she speaks it with an accent, albeit a very endearing one.

Irene...that was cute video of Kayla learning to speak Mandarin. I think that was so precious. She's so funny throwing in Spanish for "bye bye".

Thanks Anna! Most of these videos were taken while she's on the potty. It's the only way I can get her to stay still while the camera's on. She gets Spanish confused with Mandarin sometimes, and it's funny. Caitlin's growing so fast..we have to set the girls up for a playdate one of these weekends!
